The Immigrant Labour Project was started at the University of Guelph and now continues at Ryerson University. It consists of a series of inter-related studies that focus on the relationship between immigration, settlement and labour force development. The studies involve research by students and faculty, often with community partners. These studies have been supported by the Metropolis Project, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
